Experimental Condensed Matter Physicist, Post-Doctoral Associate and Marie Curie Fellow at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA) and NEST Istituto Nanoscienze-CNR and Scuola Normale Superiore (Italy) [2017-2021].
Short bio
Dr. Rocci began in research in 2008 during the Erasmus and Erasmus-Placement mobility programs among Complutense University of Madrid (Spain), Material Science Institute of Madrid ICMM-CSIC (Spain) and University of L'Aquila (Italy). He achieved his PhD in Condensed Matter Physics at the Completense University of Madrid (Spain) in January 2016. Before defending the PhD, he joined Scuola Normale Superiore (Italy) where he carried out research on the Quantum Transport field (2015-2017). Later on, he led postdoctoral research in Superconducting Spintronics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA) under the supervision of Dr. Jagadeesh S. Moodera (2017-2019). From November 2018 to 2021, Dr. Rocci led the EuSuper project, a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Global Fellowship funded by the European Commission, in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA), NEST Istituto Nanoscienze-CNR, and Scuola Normale Superiore (Italy). In 2021, following the completion of this project, he joined the Technology department at Thales Alenia Space in Italy, where he remains actively engaged.
